Ingredients

1 lb flank steak or sirloin, sliced into thin strips

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 large burrito-sized flour tortillas

1 cup frozen french fries

1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or a Mexican blend)

1/2 cup diced onions

1/2 cup diced bell peppers (any color)

1/4 cup sour cream

Salsa, for serving

Fresh cilantro, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven according to the package instructions for the frozen french fries. Cook them until they are golden and crispy; set aside.

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Once hot, add the sliced steak, seasoning it with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the steak is browned and cooked to your preference. Remove from heat.

In the same skillet, add the diced onions and bell peppers. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until just softened.

Lay out the burrito-sized tortillas. Divide the cooked steak and sautéed onions and bell peppers onto the center of each tortilla.

Top evenly with the crispy french fries and shredded cheese.

Fold the sides of the tortilla over the filling, then roll it up from the bottom to the top to create a burrito. Ensure the filling is secured on the inside.

Optionally, heat a grill pan or skillet over medium heat and lightly toast the burritos on all sides for 2-3 minutes until golden and crispy, which will also help the cheese to melt.

Serve hot, drizzled with sour cream and salsa, and garnish with fresh cilantro if desired.
