Ingredients

2 large chicken breasts (boneless, skinless)

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 fresh jalapeños, finely chopped (seeds removed for less heat)

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon chili powder

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

Juice of 1 lime

¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Optional: Sour cream or avocado slices for serving

Instructions

Marinate the Chicken: In a large bowl, combine olive oil, chopped jalapeños, minced garlic, cumin, smoked paprika, chili powder, salt, pepper, and lime juice. Mix well.

Prepare Chicken: Place the chicken breasts in the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 2 hours for more flavor).

Cook the Chicken: Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade, shaking off excess. Cook chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side, until internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

Rest and Slice: Once cooked, remove the chicken from the heat and let it rest for about 5 minutes. Slice into strips.

Serve: Arrange the sliced chicken on a serving platter and garnish with fresh cilantro. Serve with the optional sour cream or avocado slices, and enjoy your spicy jalapeño chicken!
