Ingredients

1 pound flank steak, sliced thinly against the grain

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon oyster sauce

1 tablespoon cornstarch

2 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided

1 red bell pepper, sliced

1 green bell pepper, sliced

1 medium onion, sliced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon ginger, minced

1 tablespoon sesame oil

2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Salt and pepper to taste

Cooked rice or noodles (for serving)

Instructions

Marinate the Steak: In a bowl, combine the sliced flank steak with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

Prepare Ingredients: While the steak is marinating, slice the bell peppers and onion. Mince the garlic and ginger. Set aside.

Heat the Pan: In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over high heat until shimmering.

Cook the Steak: Remove the steak from the marinade (discard any remaining marinade) and add it to the hot pan in a single layer. Stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove the steak from the pan and set aside.

Stir-Fry Vegetables: In the same pan, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the sliced onions, peppers, garlic, and ginger. Stir-fry for about 4-5 minutes, until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.

Combine and Season: Return the steak to the pan with the veggies. Drizzle sesame oil over the stir-fry and toss everything together for another 1-2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to your taste.

Serve: Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions. Serve hot over a bed of cooked rice or noodles.
