1 lb ground beef

2 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 tablespoon sesame oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon ginger, grated

1 tablespoon gochugaru (Korean red pepper flakes)

2 green onions, sliced (plus more for garnish)

1 cup cooked jasmine rice

1 cup steamed broccoli florets

1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional: Kimchi for serving

Prepare the Beef Mixture: In a medium bowl, combine the ground beef, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, ginger, and gochugaru. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

    Cook the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the beef mixture. Cook for about 7-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beef is browned and cooked through. If needed, drain excess grease.

      Season: Taste the beef and add salt and pepper to your liking. Stir in the sliced green onions and cook for an additional 2 minutes.

        Assemble the Bowl: Divide the cooked jasmine rice into serving bowls. Top each bowl with a generous portion of the Korean ground beef mixture and a handful of steamed broccoli florets.
