Hamburger Rice Casserole

Ingredients
  

1 pound ground beef

1 cup uncooked long-grain rice

1 small onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes (with juice)

1 can (10.5 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup

2 cups beef broth

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

    In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Drain any excess fat.

      Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet, sauté until the onion becomes translucent (about 3-4 minutes).

        Stir in the diced tomatoes, cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well until evenly combined.

          Stir in the uncooked rice, ensuring it's fully incorporated into the mixture.

            Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.

              Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.

                After 30 minutes, remove the foil, stir the casserole, and top with the shredded cheddar cheese.

                  Return to the oven and bake uncovered for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the rice is tender.

                    Once done, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
