12 oz penne pasta

2 cups broccoli florets

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cubed

2 tbsp olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup chicken broth

1 tsp Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Cook the Penne: Begin by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the penne pasta and cook according to package directions until al dente. In the last 3 minutes of cooking, add the broccoli florets to the pot. Drain pasta and broccoli together, then set aside.

    Cook the Chicken: In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Once hot, add the cubed chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

      Sauté Aromatics: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant.

        Make the Sauce: Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Stir in the heavy cream and Italian seasoning. Allow the mixture to cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it begins to thicken.

          Combine Ingredients: Add the cooked chicken back to the skillet, then add the drained penne and broccoli. Stir gently to combine all the ingredients and coat them in the creamy sauce.

            Add Cheese: Reduce the heat to low and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
